Thursday Opening Night Ceremonies include a Film and Music Tribute to

‘The Wildwood Caruso’…Mario Lanza!
The Wildwoods Convention Center will host a film documenting the life of Lanza. Special guests will include Mario Lanza’s family and the Directors of both the George Boyer Museum in Wildwood, N.J. and the Mario Lanza Museum in Philadelphia, PA. (7pm – 9pm)

The Event will continue at Wildwood’s Finest Italian Ristorante,

Garfield's Giardino Ristorante -3800 Pacific Ave- Pacific Avenue at Garfield Avenue- Wildwood, NJ where a presentation of awards to both museums will begin around 9:30pm

A musical tribute will continue with the Operatic voice of Chris Lorge during the evenings festivities

Tickets to both events can be purchased at both locations.

Friday Night’s ceremonies include our festival tribute to 60’s Beach Films with

‘Beach Buffet Bingo’!

A night of Films, Music and Fun at Wildwood’s Oceanfront Arena.

Venue #4 will host Frankie and Annette in Beach Blanket Bingo movie while

Jimmy and the Parrots entertain us with a Jimmy Buffet Tribute in the Exhibition Halls.

Hors d'oeuvres and Cash bar will be on hand. Sorry No Bingo!

Tickets will be available at the door. (9pm –midnight)

 

Saturday September 27th, 2008

Saturday Evening’s Gala Event featuring Award presentations by New Jersey’s Governor, Jon Corzine.
The ‘Independent Spirit Award’ will be presented to Direct/Actor/ Writer Kevin Smith and Tony Curtis will receive a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. Martin Landau was scheduled to receive the same. Surprise guests and other awards will be presented as well.
The award ceremonies will be followed by our festival tribute to the Beatles featuring‘Beatlemania Again with three costume changes.
The event will take place at our hosthotel, The Bolero Resort andConference Center.
