Greetings from Havre de Grace  (26m, USA)
Directed by: Mark Scalese
Short Documentary
Synopsis
This film takes as it starting point the rather unusual name of a small town in Maryland, Havre de Grace,
which means 'harbor of grace' or 'safe harbor' in French. It combines interviews of town residents about
the origin and meaning of the name with footage shot throughout Havre de Grace and its waterfront at the
confluence of the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay. The film's interviews also explore the concept
of grace, the world's need for it, and whether any location can live up to such a name.
