Synopsis
Stories of child abduction typically focus on the victim, grieving family, or perpetrator--but
scores of other people are affected, too. 'Last Skate for Couples' explores the angle of a
classmate who had a secret crush on the victim. As a small town seeks to heal after the
abduction and murder of a teenage girl, one boy can't. A cheerless Wyatt sits alone at the
local roller rink on a fundraising night in “celebration” of the life of Trisha Evans. A charismatic
friend finds Wyatt trapped in his despondency and challenges him to smile for the sake of
Trisha's memory. As a wounded town courageously moves forward, a broken Wyatt fights
himself to find a way. Note: Dedicated to the memory of six child victims.
